Call for papers

The conference theme for 2026 is the following:

"Horizontality and Private Law - revisiting the influence of section 8 of the Bill of Rights after 30 years".

The organisers invite academics to submit proposals for papers linked with the above theme in the following areas of private law:

  • Family Law
  • Law of Persons
  • Customary Law
  • Law of Things
  • Law of Succession
  • Law of Contract
  • Law of Unjustified Enrichment
  • Law of Delict

Abstracts have to be no longer than 200 words and have to indicate how they relate to the conference theme. The final submission date for abstracts is 30 June 2026.
